In January 2021, the humanitarian organization Merhamet distributed 80 food packages that include basic food products: flour, oil, rice, pasta, sugar, salt, milk and basic hygiene items. Merhamet’s main campaign is “Sadaka za nasmeh”, in which packages of food and textile supplies are distributed to users of Merhamet’s services. On this occasion, 80 packages of textile products were distributed: men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and footwear, bedding, towels and various household accessories. As part of this campaign, 30 packages of sacrificial meat are distributed, which are intended for families in difficult living conditions.
MERHAMET’S ACTION IN THE COMMITTEES OF THE ISLAMIC COMMUNITY IN THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA
In the period from December to January, the Meshihat of the Islamic Community, in cooperation with the humanitarian organization Merhamet, distributed packages of food products in all mosques in the Republic of Slovenia. This unique campaign has borne fruit and we hope that it will be recognized in the future as a way to connect and work together.
ASSISTANCE TO IMMIGRANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES
The humanitarian organization Merhamet continues to provide regular assistance to immigrant families living in the area of Ljubljana and its surroundings. Multi-member families are given packages with larger quantities of items.
Our donors of this monthly campaign are: Mrs. Zehida Bajramović with her sons Irfan and Mersud and the family of Aida and Jasmin Music from Kranj. We warmly thank them and pray to God to give them and their family members all the best, to be accompanied by the well-being of health and success in private and professional life.
